What about the quick loader with a lift on the #3 position(what is it called?), how many loads would I be turning down if I went with one of those?
-
I drove one of those for a couple years and really liked it. I know many
were built to haul 11 and they hauled 11 corvettes on them. If I had to pick between the two I would go with the highrail. But that is just personal preference.
Terry270 Thanks this. -
Yes that thing! What is it called and how many loads have you hauled with your high rail that you wouldn't have been able to with your Jack Cooper rig?
-
I forget the number of it. I think the ability to haul 10-11 easier would be the biggest advantage of a highrail. May not ever be an issue for you.Terry270 Thanks this.

Yes you are correct on both, it had been refurbed by Cottrell not very long before I got in it. I do like my Pete better, but that old Volvo was a very good carhauler. I remember the model number now that you mentioned it.

The biggest issue I remember on the original 7512's was the approach angle was pretty steep getting on top. The guys had to use boards to load SRT-10's, there's no way you'd ever get a Hellcat or GT350 on the top deck with some major futzing around. But if you were hauling Vettes with it, they must have changed something on retrofit.

I laid some 2x10's down just before the approach for the top deck on low profile units. Just for my peace of mind, may have been ok but better safe than sorry.

Man some days I miss my quick loader. Then I get my return load and I love my highrail. Think I'll get @KANSAS TRANSIT to sit down one day and engineer me a hybrid best of both worlds trailer
crb, KANSAS TRANSIT and Terry270 Thank this.
