I agree.. that was a pretty cheap shot.
The owner of the company I am leased on with is Lithuanian and he is about as American as you can get.

I'm not taking up for the driver, but NYC is not the place for an inexperienced driver to be driving by himself. It can be hell for an experienced driver. That being said, huge alarm bells went off when the issue of the dirty back window unfolded. The driver was definitely in the class of steering wheel holder.
As some of the other people have said, you probably didn't check this guy out well enough. The drivers that I have evaluated, have gone on the road with me for a couple of weeks at least. You can usually tell what you have in the first 72 hours away from home, or by the third or fourth time they load an unload.
With some of these horror stories I hear, I can kind of understand why some of the regulators want to legislate rules and practices that reduce drivers to drones that have their every move monitored. Of course that kind of goes hand in hand with the old adage you get what you inspect, and what you pay for. -
Thank you, I have been considering buying 2 more trucks. Kinda been on the fence for a while and this will help with my decision. And you gave him way more chances than I would have.
