So what's on Hirschbach trucks in the line of driver comforts....Diesel fired Tripak APUs, Fridge/Freezer, 1800 watt or higher inverters, diesel fired bunk heaters?..etc...

I could care less about art work. Equipment/Driver comforts, Miles, Hometime, Benefits, Reimbursements you submit receipts n on your next check, Average Length of Haul, Detention Pay(no fighting to get it), Accessorial pays, ,etc...you know the important stuff..Cameras road facing forward only.

I'll say that they gave me the big company vibes. I started there thinking I would do dollar general, as per the ad I responded to, but it ended up being family dollar, which is a huge difference. I wasnt prepared for that level of physical labor. They are intense with safety training, so they probably throw drivers under the bus when incidents arrive (I say this as a driver of 20 years accident free). On top of that, the road test was high pressure. You'll get the sense that they are probing you in order to make you feel defeated so that you'll think, and do everything they say in orientation. There's a military mindset, boot camp kind of thing going on. All that said, it's probably a decent company to work for once you get through orientation. I couldn't handle more than 2 weeks of family dollar, where you have to put every single box from the 36k lb load on rollers. I wanted a job that might help me get into shape. That was a job you need to get into shape for. Their OTR would be different, but I could make more doing OTR reefer elsewhere.
