There's not really a rivalry. The men who do work in this world drive Ford, the boys who need a truck to go down and get their nails done drive Chevy.

...And they're the only option left for a manual trans in a full size truck, if you have the money to pony up for a diesel. :biggrin_25510:

Right, if you want a manual transmission with a stick shift dodge makes a good truck. Otherwise, not so much.

Hey! I resemble that Dodge remark! My truck is a 91 Ram D250. It's my baby. Might not look all that great (yet), but she's dependable.

Mine is dependable in that it can always be counted on to break down when I really need it to work.

I've fixed any issues as they have come, last one was this February. Replaced the pickup coil. Much easier to work on the older vehicles. Less computer crap to deal with.

Mine has had every possible thing go wrong with the cooling system.

Couple weeks ago it thought it would be funny to blow a freeze plug, since I've recently replaced every single component of the cooling system.

It's a 98 with 120,000 miles. And it had a head gasket issue at under 50,000 miles.

I am sitting here parking in the oversized parking lot of the Mirage Casino in Vegas and someone puts up a tread called HIT ME and it has nothing to do with black jack? I am going to the pool.
