I used to do HD deliveries for a window company a fews back, pretty standard stuff to the stores, we would have to help unload but we got paid for it so no big deal, we worked strictly by appt but they were flexible once they got to know me. Most times I did the same 8-12 stores and I could call to find out if there would be an empty dock for me and stuff, very good gig for me and if I hadn't moved 1100 miles away I would prob still be there!!!
    Good luck!!

this depends on what you really mean..

    1) are you working for home depot, at ONE particular store, making deliveries to homes and businesses that buy FROM that store.>??

if so, then that job sucks.

i worked for Lowes. and if there is nothing to deliver, you either work IN THE STORE at a REDUCED pay, or go home.

    2) if you mean for a trucking company, GOING TO home depot and delivering products to INDIVIDUAL stores, then that may not be so bad.

you WILL NOT LIKE the home delivery job.

I don't think the thread starter was asking for advice or luck. Seemed to me he wanted to "coverse". I deliver to all Home Depots and Lowes in Texas and surrounding states. And if you haul for the DC, you may get stuck waiting from time to time. If you do and if we meet up at a store, I would be glad to conversate with you.

i think he said he has a "chance to drive" for home depot.

again, if it is ONE store in particular, i'd stay away from that job.

but from DC center to any store, that might be better.

i was "conversing" an experienced opinion of what to watch out for.

I gotta agree.. that sucks. I ran a flat and fork for Lowe's briefly. The job was nothing fantastic, the pay was nothing fantastic, the hours were nothing fantastic.

Since you're working for the store, why don't you ask the receiving to pull that stick out of their anal cavities. What store?

then you will NOT like working there, as they pay crap. Lowes and Home Depot will spend as much as $60 million dollars a year on NASCAR sponsorship's, but pay the workers crap. (look up what they spend on stupid NASCAR). you will work only the hours that they have, which some days, may be over 8. other days, you either work in the store, or go home. how you gonna survive on that..??

me too, the flat bed with the Moffitt. same story you say, i have already said earlier.

    remove the stick...??

that my friend, takes at least 4 out of the 6 managers to get together, discuss the situation, call in the zone manager, then call in the corporation directors, then the final result..??

spend more money on NASCAR sponsorship.
