One of the guys at our terminal came from fedex freight and he said that once you use SS dolly you never want to go back. I guess they roll a million times easier and are way lighter to move around. As for worrying about them blowing out I would highly doubt it would make a difference compared to duals. The side shear force from them being in a tandem setup is what kills tires. When they are in a single axle setup they have no side shear force so the tread isnt being ripped from them all the time.
