I guess my question for all of these "Outlaws" is simple, IF/WHEN Elogs become mandatory, does that mean you are hanging up your driving gloves and chain drive wallet?

I am just lucky to have driven a truck when you could make dynamite money...I invested well and i am pretty blessed....My 2 Harleys are paid for,my home is worth 500,000 and paid for over the years and i have a savings account and some retirement put aside....

I am still waiting to meet my first E-LOGGER that does not live in his truck or his MOMS BASEMENT...

 

I'm happy for you, but you are painting with a pretty wide brush, also, and YOU are well aware of this, there are a lot of drivers that would not want to run in YOUR area for any amount of money. So I am glad you are paid well, you do realize that combat pay was always higher than non-combat pay, right?

 

I can't blame them.It is hell up here for many drivers..But it is where i have made my Million over the years..This pays the best for many of us...

 

LOL, I am well aware of your area, born and raised over there, just went back for Father's Day to visit the folks! I used to deliver a lot of stuff to the sub base up the road from you in Ct.

Traffic over there is what it is, if your the nerous type or high strung,,,,,, FORGET about it!

Yeah I moved out here 21 years ago, but I am in the sticks, North Central Kansas, I live in a town of 500, with NO crime, NO stoplights, and NO body bustin' my ###, and on the weekends I sit on my front porch, put my feet up, and watch BOTH cars by,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, waving of course. lol

 

Sounds a bit like mine except we have 2000 people.

We are a one stop light county.

 

Nice...Next time i am out i will have to stop in and have a Mountain Dew...I am thinking on selling all i have and retiring in the ''sticks'' with some peace and quite....With a loaded gun on the night stand,off course..
