Ok, so I have an honest question. Have had my cdl for about 9 years, and never had this issue come up and now im freaking the F out!! Need some clarity

So i was let go from my current employer for an HOS violation (not really whats concerning me).
Btw, I am listed as a OTR driver, but i actually make grocery store deliveries for said companies.

Well i had a horrible day, and what happened was i was vfreaking out whether i had time to complete my stops for the day. i arrived at a satellite location to crossdock a trailer that had to be put OOS, had to do my inspections, crossdock the trailer so i could complete said stops, and do my required 30 minute break within said time span. Heres well i totally screwed up. I didnt show the correct time for unloading in comparison to off-duty break time. I was let go due to HOS violation of working on my off-duty break. Yes, i know stupid and should not have been done. Like i said though, my head wasnt right trying to figure everything out at that moment of how i was going to get all this stuff done within the alotted time.

Yes, I screwed up, but honestly im not terribly upset with losing said job. What my MAJOR concern is, what effect will this have on trying to get another job? Will this show on my CSA score? Can they call my previous employer and ask why i was let go? BTW, i have never had any violations of any kind on my record, no speeding, roadside inspections, nothing!! This is why im freaking out, I have never encountered the "CSA" issue or HOS violation scenario in my 9 year cdl career. I am wondering if my ONE TIME screw up is going to cost me any possible chance of a new job in driving?

I already have a couple new LTL companies that i am thinking about applying with, but am wondering if i am basically just screwed due to this F up

Thank you so much for any suggestions or helpful advice

    You know what?

Who gives a crap about the CSA score.

Don't think about applying ... you hesitating may be an indication of why you were let go.

So go apply and do it at every company you can fit into because it is better to turn down a job because you got a better one than not to have even one offer.

Let go for a single HOS violation, that's messed up. If your record is as clean as you say you shouldn't have a problem finding a decent job.

I actually just talked with a buddy of mine and confirmed, 1 HOS mistake like this is no big deal. I am feeling alot better, like i said, i have never encountered or had to del with violations, CSA, all that crap. It was one time and the company i was at, has changed alot in 6 months. I just found out when this happened, they have a Zero Tolerance policy for HOS violations, and thats why instant termination. My buddy thinks they are just trying to clean up there own image, and i was the "make an example" candidate. Anyway, im feeling much better after seeing some comments here and talking to a buddy that it shouldnt be much of an issue

Just always seemed pretty cool. The closest I got was on our A.C.E motorcycle unit for almost a year and my wife had enough lol
