Somewhere around that figure on diesel I would say.

Charge a 4 hour mim. if he cancels the day before. Then charge 150.00 an hour from the time you leave your shop to when you get back.
That's the way most local haulers charge for local work. Buddy of mine runs a local hauling outfit in Phoenix.
That is their rate. for a 5 axle setuprealsupatrucka Thanks this. -
Thank you all for your feed back. Now I have a good idea on what to charge this guy.

If you can make $1000 per day (for easy math) then he has to replace that income for reserving the truck, guaranteed. That means if yours breaks down you have to get something to haul with. The guarantee goes both ways.
BTW, just curious.... It takes 10 hours to load, unload and drive 160 miles? Are they loading toothpicks one at a time? -
If this is supposedly a daily thing I'd consider going for a weekly rate rather than hourly. Makes it easier for both of you to punch the numbers and if his guys wind up slacking or telling you they don't need the truck tomorrow you're covered. Just state what time period each day your truck will be available to them. Such as M-F 6am-6pm

It takes that long cause it's usually parts for cranes that they use on the high rises. So there's a long wait on the job site
