No, just the odometer in the speedo

it is bad news.... so you need tools. DDDL ore Mercedes Star diagnose. With Mercedes Engine No blink codes!

Well I guess it is off to the dealer for a read. Starting to wonder about my truck choice.
Would love the Star machine, would work with the smart car as well most likely. Any DDDl available and what $$$$. Might be worth getting one. Was set up for the 1 ton with a reader now I need another one for this truck.free2fly973 Thanks this. -
really there are many smal and cheap hand hande tools to pull codes. and any RP1210A adapter works with any lap top with USB ore COM port.

just an example
But for really good diagnostic use Nexiq and laptop. You can use old versions of DDDL available to download in internet -
Turn engine off. turn key switch on. turn cruise control switch off, now depress the res/accel switch. The check engine light will now start to flash. ex. flash 3 times and then pause, flash 6 times, then pause. this is code 36. hope this helps.

He means is there a fault error code retrieval routine such as that of s CAT where the process of holding down the cruise control "set" button while the cruise control selector is in the "off" position would yield a sequence of flashes spaced evenly, followed by a possible 2 second pause, that would announce a second sequence to follow. For example: flash, flash, flash, 2 sec pause, flash....Would be error code 31. You guys should all be kicked out of the garage.
