I usually just smile and wave, if I do anything at all. No point in antagonizing someone who may be crazier than I am.

Rick Brown, runningfr8 and jungledrums Thank this.

Since I don't drive a neutered truck, it's usually some impatient 4-wheel jackwagon that I had the audacity to interrupt their busy commute....I usually just fantasize about whether I'll see them down the road, either meeting Officer Friendly in person, or spinning out and buffing up the guardrail.

    Hey, a guy can dream!!!:biggrin_25523:

Try pulling 19' 6" wide loads through Atlanta, the finger is the least of the gestures that are handed out. I generally just ignore them but if they refuse to give up without acknowledgement I roll the window down and point at the 800 number on the door.

    jungledrums and Mudguppy Thank this.

    ###### man! Biggest I ever toted around that hellhole was 14'6" wide and grossing about 135k. You've definitely got my respect (and sympathy! lol)

The smallest I take through there almost every week is 16' wide. About every 3rd week I have the 19' 6" wide, it's an adventure.

With the 19's I have state police escorts but they also have me run the left 2 lanes which just infuriates people to the point I've watched them having complete mental breakdowns when they can't get by on the right. Just a few weeks ago we watched a guy in a BMW beat the steering wheel so hard he bent it. He had tried to blow by on the right several times but kept getting caught by slower traffic (did I mention the GSP has me running 70+ around the Watermelon 285). He finally resorted to blowing by everyone on the right shoulder, guess he didn't realize the guy in front of me in the blue and silver Charger with all the red and blue lights had a radio and could talk to other people in blue Chargers with red and blue lights. They caught him 7 miles down the road.

Smile and wave boys. Smile and wave.
Long time ago before the seat belt craze. This old boat of a car was slowly passing me and cut in a little close. In the back seat was 3 little kids. Maybe 4-5 years old. They pumped there hands for the air horn. I shook my head. [ Didn't want to cause a wreck with the train horn ]. They tried and tried. Finally the middle one looked ahead, made sure mom wasn't looking, and flipped me the bird. Smiling the whole time. I laughed for 5 miles over that one.
