I was wondering if anyone had any experience working for CNTL. The o/o fleet seems to run decent equipment - are they a good company to work for? Any opinions on the company?
How is CNTL?

Lots of waiting for cans. Lots.

Probably not awesome after Hunter Harrison got in there... Another thing is I’ve seen them advertise for more than half a year every month in Over The Road mag. If it was great why the need to run so many repetitive ads. Doesn’t seem good but hey, it works for some not for others.

In bc they are always on my side of the road so I suspect driver quality is low from stuff I've seen

Very welcoming for new Canadians...

Waiting is fine. Not being paid for your work is not.

At least those bright orange and black trucks are easy to spot. Unless you're in pine beetle territory, then they kind of blend in with all the dead trees on the hillsides.BigHossVolvo and magoo68 Thank this.

I've heard their O/O's pay $0.35 per litre for diesel.

CNTL = Crash Now Think Later. I run Hwy 1 and Hwy 3 a lot. They Crash and go Head on with other trucks A lot, can't drive for ####, like to lose trailers on the first curve outside of Sicamous; after doing a switch. CVSE makes huge cash off them, as almost none of their chassis have brakes.
Albertaflatbed, Jazz1 and gokiddogo Thank this. -
Brother talked to a guy hauling cans out of their Edmonton yard. Use to be able to do five a day at the old yard on 127 ave. The new one out by 184 st, can only do two a day.
