That’s awesome. I wish I knew more about that type of trucking. The trailers, loading and unloading, and chaining down. I would think there is big money in that stuff.
How is it going?

Thank God for good customers and a few Knowledgeable brokers, because most brokers are clueless and bid this stuff way to cheap. Then some guy comes in and hauls it. Then the customer thinks that rate is set in stone so bye bye yahoo!! I got one customer now that keeps dabbling with brokers , and the cheapest bid wins. Then some dude drives in and doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing, and back we go. But I understand they’re trying to save money also. But all in all I’m glad to do what I love.

Yeah I would think a massive piece of machinery like that would be devastating to lose. What are those a good 200k new?
My Dad farms and I have trucks, it would be cool to have the know how to move his excavator and bull dozer around if needed. Do most large construction outfits have their own truck and trailer or is that who you target as customers? Whereabouts do you operate in the country?
There is a very large farm equipment auction near me and the trucks he uses to haul in from all over are all very nice long hoods, custom paint, chrome, etc so I figured they do pretty well.Rideandrepair and Deere hunter Thank this. -
Did a two week turn. Well not quite. Finished last one today. Three loads, about 4300 miles. Back to the house for a couple of days. My yard needs mowing and my grill is cold.Rideandrepair, Deere hunter, Midwest Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.

It’s picked up around here as well. Not really any home runs to be had but steady and decent. I feel like by sept through November range we ought to be firing on all cylinders again.
I grilled some burgers last night and boiled some corn. Wasn’t too bad.Speed_Drums, Rideandrepair, Deere hunter and 1 other person Thank this. -
ya had the grill out, should’ve done the corn as well.
Grilled corn is tasty.
Been on a new grill hunt. Just not finding anything worth a darn.Rideandrepair, Deere hunter, Midwest Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Only place we don’t run is north east! We mainly haul Deere and a lot of it. I don’t know how heavy your dozer or excavator is, but if they’re in the 60 to 70,000 pound range you could start with a six axle rig.Rideandrepair and Midwest Trucker Thank this.

I must have been riding hard last night... I just realized that I haven’t eaten since 20:00 yesterday
