    Hello all,

I need some help. I am owner operator with my authority.

I own a 2020 Dodge Ram and 40ft trailer with max hauling capacity of 17,000 pounds.

How much should I (the owner) expect to make in salary per year? I thinking $50K before taxes.

    Thank you,

That is subjective. How much do you need to make? to be profitable(Is it obtainable). Your business has to produce enough to cover its expenses & make a profit. Is your business going to produce enough to pay you so you can make it? How much do you want to make? Balance my friend Balance :D:D

IMHO, that figure it’s not worth it.
If that’s all you can earn, why not be a company driver somewhere?

Are you the operator (driver) of the truck or are you putting someone else in the seat?

Have you run the numbers? Do you know what an average load will bring per mile? Do you know what your per mile cost is at this time?

    Pamela1990 Thanks this.

    Hello Lazer,
I have thought about this as well. I am owner operator and my sons drives for me while I try to do dispatch for him.

I am having an issue with saving a cushion for monthly expenses.

    Appreciate the feedback.
