I am not talking the loud, this is my first day grind. Just anytime you get that slight noise and vibration. How often do you miss your perfect shift. For me very rarely except downshifting in low range. Then I often get a slight grind especially if loaded. Never thought to ask anyone this question, just curious.

happens every now and then, hell it's not even me sometimes, truck just wants to be stubborn and not take the gear even on the easiest shift from 7 to 8 accelerating on the interstate, done it hundreds of times at the same rpm but for whatever reason in that moment it says nope.

It grinds at times, but it's never my fault. Stupid transmission.

In a truck with an Eaton, I hardly ever grind a gear. The truck I am currently in, however, has a Meritor transmission, and, combined with the Cummins ISX under the hood (which drops rpm's extremely fast), I grind quite a bit.

Every day. It happens. Doesn't mean you suck at driving. Sometimes it just happens
