Hey, Texas is a great state. I pretty much flipped a coin when I decided to relocate from TN, in choosing Texas and Nevada. My neice moved to Richmond, TX; cheap homes there with swimming pools; at least cheap in this economy.

A&B. heres the deal, I went to school at Chippewa Valley Tech in Eau Claire WI, I was part of the first to go through their new welding program. When I started school I worked at Menards driving a yard horse then I left there for a larger farmer and I stretched semi's and turned them in to silage trucks. I drove semi and tractor, ran end loader, little of everything then I also had my fair share of welding with things. I went to A&B because I figured I might as well use my school to my fullest ability. I started out making 13.00 put a dollar for night shift, I said that was fair because I know you earn your wage, well I worked there for 5 months and I got a .50 raise, I was catching all kinds of flaws in tanks and I felt I was doing very well, the part that burns my but is I was in the sand booth and every single day I walked in to a mess. I left it clean came in and it was dirty,I was really tired of asking for it to be clean when I came in, I wrote a letter to the plant manager asking for things to change and they didn't they said they couldnt really do much because the day shift guy does a good job and its hard to find a new person to do it. so I said enough is a enough. I don't mean to toot my own horn but I really feel im a well rounded Tig welder. I would be willing to work in another weld shop but I'm not slaving away picking up anothers mess, I know I'm going to get #### jobs being the new guy but I'm not a maid, I'm a welder, I felt I should be doing work around welding not picking up others messes. I'm really good friends with my boss thats stepping down. I know B&K hauls almost all of A&B's tanks out but I doubt I would be able to get on there, I got a job with the farmer I work for before A&B and I'm gonna help him chop and then I'm hoping he can get another flat bed set up for me, he already has one set up and theres a local mill that they haul wood to menards and other stores and building sites depending on stuff. west central WI MN and a little SD ND. What is a fair number to make if they pay percent of load?

I was going to try and do mobile welding but I couldn't get insured so it put a halt to it, I own a Miller 225g welder and have the ablity to weld Stick and Tig with it.

    thanks for all the help.
