Hey everyone, name's Preston, i have one day of school to go before test day then about a month wait before i turn 21 and can rid myself of my K restriction. i may be young, but i know what's expected of me, you'll never hear me say or see me type anything saying "i know everything" 'cause the day you think you know everything about trucking, is the day you'd better climb out of that cab. my father was a heavy haul driver for Sound Delivery Service in Washington state, my uncle is a driver for Cedar Grove Composting in the same state, and if you havn't taken a look at my screen name, yup, that's where i'm from, good ole Pacific Northwest.

So here's the lowdown, i'm 20 years old 'till August, applied to a few companies and i'm leaning toward May Trucking, i'm here to associate with fellow drivers, learn, and most likely make a few new friends, i'm not here to talk down to anyone or disrespect anyone for any reason. i'm here to meet a few people who share the same passion i have, trucking.

some of you may see me as a young'un, still wet behind the ears and about as inexperienced as a new born calf, and that's absolutely true! but so was every other truck driver on the road, we all gotta start somewhere, and every trucker has a different story, my father grew up on the ranch, got his
CDL back when all you needed was a written note saying "Yup, he can drive that for ya!" my uncle went to school, now i'm going to school, and with 2 days left, i'm feeling confident and excited to start my new career.

Now i'm not here to write a book so i think i'm gonna cut this introduction short haha. To be honest i feel kinda proud of myself being one of the youngest, if not THE youngest student to ever attend my trucking school, not trying to brag, toot my own horn, or sound ####y at all, just saying that i've been getting a lot of praise i really wasn't expecting while going to school, everyone is very surprised to find that i'm so young.

I'll leave you all with this little prayer, May all your days be filled with joy, and may your travels be leisurely and safe.

Have a good one out there, be safe and keep those wheels turnin'. Glad to be here, nice to see a place devoted to truckers. 8)

kickin chicken and Baack Thank this.

haha you guys are alright. you'll all learn that i'm pretty easy going, i'm serious when i need to be, and i'm a goof in my off time. thanks for the warm welcome everyone, and by the way, HOLY CRAP do you guys reply fast! i went and switched my avater over, put in a few things in my profile and already had 4 Replies, wish things moved that quick on my forums sheesh haha. i'm no stranger to forums, i'm the Vice President of my Baja club out here in AZ (Vw Baja's like the one in my avatar) i wonder if anyone on here has a classic vw? ... just realised the irony in that, i'm going from driving one of the smalles things on the road to driving one of the largest haha.
