LOL that is pretty true right there
-
I'm pretty sure the folks who tune engines, whether it be light vehicle or heavy truck, have blown up a few engines getting things dialed in. You don't know the limitations unless you break it lol.spsauerland Thanks this.
-
There's got to be a way to do it. Somebody had to write the tune to begin with, gotta be a way to change it.
-
If that were the case there would be so many customer tuned your head would spin just bring able to adjust timing with the fuel ratio. There is no hex editor in existence for them. Once it's written, it's finished. Essentially, they are not made to be edited. One would have to write whatever they wanted from scratch. Good luck getting that code!

Iam sure he knows exactly what he is doing .. that why he's on here asking what all he needs
He's not gonna pay somebody that knows what their doing when he thinks he knows how to do it..lol -
I see, the only other thing I've heard of pullers doing is setting themselves up a stand alone ECM.spsauerland Thanks this.
-
That's interesting. Didn't know that.
-
I don't know what they use for an ECM or how they go about starting from scratch on a tune for that either. They're not real open about those either understanably.
-
Maybe they're running one really hot and a streetable tune on the other. Not sure but changing out programming with ET would be easier. I can't say for sure though because I have no experience with it.
