I need some help about a year ago I went to orientation for Schneider but I had failed the hair follicle test but passed the urine test. It isn’t on my clearing house but on my DAC report it says “company policy violation” and now I just applied to US xpress and they did a background check, my recruiter asked me about the company policy violation with Schneider. I told them I didn’t know what it was about and they gave me a orientation date… What do you think my chances of getting the job is and do you all think they’ll call Schneider and ask what the violation was about or find out that I failed a hair test and reject me?
I need advice

Heck, just go to orientation if invited and find out. If pressed, tell them you are not sure but you were late a couple mornings for orientation and that is all you can think of about the whole situation. Worse case they find out the truth from Schneider and let you go. You will at least know what you are dealing with in your next process.

"Well.....you made the right call by saying you didn't know what the violation was. I'm actually proud of you for not talking too much. So many drivers are too honest and they #### themselves. Honesty is not the best policy fas as I'm concerned. US Express will probably just assume that you didn't make the cut in orientation."

If they don’t hair follicle test I’m guessing it wouldn’t matter even if you did tell them. But that’s a guess. Their attitude would be we don’t care as long as you pass everything in our onboarding process.
But sure, if a company is looking for an excuse *not* to hire you, they can always find something. Depends how desperate they are (as it always does) in determining how reasonable their hiring standards are.
