I need advise/help!

Hey guys.

This post will be semi long but I really need help trying to find a driving job or someone that can point me in the right direction. I have almost 8 years of experience and in November of 2023 I was working for a small company in Greensboro NC off of West Market St and when I arrived where I drop my trailer to head home I had a guy come up to the truck demanding I give him the tablet and GPS out of truck it turned into a heated situation quick and he pulled a gun out so I left and panicked, when I left I hit his car but I was on the phone with 911. 911 directed me where to go and park and wait for officers.

Long story short, I got charged with a hit and run misdemeanor. I took a plea bargain and I went with it not knowing it would suspend my license on April 20th 2024. The judge told me I was able to continue my professional driving status and it would NOT effect my license. So I drove all the way up until July, I didn't know my license were suspended and my job didn't either but anyway. I came home off of the road and just reinstated my license Monday.

Does anyone know of someone that could hire me or what are the chances of getting a job? I'm starting to lose hope because trucking is all I know and at the point I see a lot of jobs saying MVR need to be clean, no preventable accident in the past 2 years. How does this effect me and can someone point me in a direction of a job near me that could possibly hire me?

My job did not fire me, he had to run my MVR again and his insurance was not able to take me.

 

Also, I will say, I do not have any other incidents or tickets.
