    I am think about get cdl A .. I will pay for my cdl A at good school . I hope i get good job ... I am 36 and clean everything .here the thing I need part-time job gone 2-4 days out and 2-4 days home .. do you have any ideals all!!!!!"

    Not likely, you would have to go otr or regional. Regional might get ya home every 10 days for 34 hrs off. The truck is gonna be your home, lol.

    Even if you find a company with a 4on/4off schedule, which is highly unlikely, getting you home at the right time isn't guaranteed.

    I think what you want is not usually available to someone without a lot of experience ... Maybe a freight hauler (ltl) would hire you out fresh from school, but most will want 6-24 months of verified experience ... Then you would work a shift and go home, or possible run team, but not sure how long they go out for ...

    Yep!! Thinking about getting cdl, need help that is certain. Welcome to trucking :) The real problem with a 4 on 4 off driving job the same thing that is wrong with trucking in general -- dispatch -- (dishonest people against truckers coming home ). Seriously though you may you have some luck trying for a porter driver at a local warehouse or grocery supplier. DOT foods inc. has a similar schedule for their road drivers - HAZMAT required by completion of company training. Coke , Pepsi & some beer companies use part-time drivers. Trust & seek God first & He will open doors for you. May God Bless you greatly.
