Hey guys, heading from atlanta to cincinatti monday and I know I75 is still shut down near stinking creek. From what I heard a detour was setup but then changed due to accidents on the detour?

Just wondering hkw you get around the rockslide before I head that way. Im assuming the main detour is 25W now is that accurate? Thx all, have a good weekend.

They haven't cleaned that up yet? Must have been a hell of a rock slide. I had to go on the detour about 5 days ago while I was heading south. I went in around exit 160 and came out at 140 or so. Had I known the detour was that bad, I would have gone the way finfn mentioned. That 20 mile detour took almost 2 hours and wasn't too safe, especially in a loaded tanker.

Supposedly will be weeks before it's fully opened. No scheduled date.

As for the detour. I think it's been non advised also. Due to all the accidents happening since the slide.

    This.

If you go that way when you get to the sign that says water pounding at the split thereabouts by loves...if its raining slow down....a lot. You are about to go on a log ride. It ain't lieing.

You can run I-75 up to Knoxville, then go west on I-40 when you get to the junction. Take x347 and run US-27 north. You can run it all the way up to Lexington or you can cut back east to I-75 at Somerset on KY-80 (this will put you back on 75 at London).

Half the mountain came down, they are going to rebuild part of the road, won't be done till April.

Outlaw, the beef jerky guy, near jellico, clued me on on the back roads to get around but some are gravel. The loads I'm running are always under 20k in the box so they are doable. I'm not sharing though, don't want real truckers to crush no culverts or nothing.

    Sorry bro.

If you know who I'm talking about.... He's been a 75 fixture since before most of these guys been driving. It's an earned trust.
