Far too many spaces were lost to that trash. The one near my house sits mt for the most part, till it starts getting late and all the free spaces are taken..then I guess everyone starts forking out some cash to get into the 'Air spots.

All they did was ###### up a good t/s parking. I never used them, never will. Everything they had to offer I had in my own truck, phone, computer, sat tv and heat and a/c. I idle my engine if I had to depending on temp. I can care less with the anti idle laws and I never had a run in with a cop on that.

I wonder how many people have dislocated their arms trying to unhook the vacuum tube. Or how many trucks have gotten dings because of said tube?

Actually a bankruptcy can take as much as 1 year. They filed under Chapter 11 in the bankruptcy code.
I have posted the news that Cybergal posted as well as the definition of the Chapter 11 proceedings.
The saga on this company will continue for awhile yet.
IdleAire trucking services company files for bankruptcy
5/13/08
Quote:
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- IdleAire Technologies Corp., which provides services to long-haul truckers at truck stops, has filed for bankruptcy.
The Knoxville-based company filed Chapter 11 documents Monday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware, where it was incorporated.
The bankruptcy filing estimates the company has between 1,000 and 5,000 creditors, assets between $100 million and $500 million and liabilities between $100 million and $500 million.
In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing earlier this year, company officials said they expected a net loss of approximately $93 million in 2007 on revenues of approximately $37 million.
IdleAire provides in-cab heat, air, Internet and satellite TV to drivers at truck stops through a console that fits in the driver's window.

When a troubled business is unable to service its debt or pay its creditors, the business or its creditors can file with a federal bankruptcy court for protection under either chapter 7 or chapter 11. In chapter 7, the business ceases operations and a trustee sells all of its assets and distributes the proceeds to its creditors. A chapter 11 filing is usually an attempt to stay in business while a bankruptcy court supervises the "reorganization" of the company's contractual and debt obligations. The court can grant complete or partial relief from most of the company's debts and its contracts, so that the company can make a fresh start. Sometimes, if the business's debts exceed its assets, then at the completion of bankruptcy the company's owners all end up without anything; all their rights and interests are ended and the company's creditors are left with ownership of the newly reorganized company. -
