Well I was a isx hater but I now have a new outlook. The one I drive I complained about the way it ran for two years and our shop said they couldn't find anything wrong. so after 2 turbo's and 3 egr valves my oil pan got a hole in it from rust so when thay had it in the shop to put a new pan on it and fix the oil leak on the front of the engine I got it back and it now runs like a raped ape. So after about a month of driving this truck no one could answer why it ran so well till just the other day I was in the shop getting it serviced and a guy asked me how it was running and I said well since they put that high performance oil pan on it it runs like it never has before. And the new mechanic was standing there smiling so I said what is so funny? And he said well just between you-me and the fence post the ecm has been reprogrammed and lets just say you won't have anymore egr trouble. So that just confirmed what I suspected all along that they did do something to it. Now I'm not sure what they did or who done it but a friend of mine said he caught our mechanic on a PDI website one day so Im thinking it might have been them. So here are some examples of how it pulls 75 south out of cinci top the hill with 81500 53 mph vs about 40 before, sandstone mtn. in W.Va 39 mph now that might not sound like it's that fast but our other I S X engines top sandstone about 25 so the tell me and any of you who have been over there know thats about a 7 mile pull. Now Im not saying I have the baddest truck on the road because I know I don't but I will say It pulls like a monster now. So dont give up on the I S X like I did because as I found out if you do the right stuff to them they will run and pull just as good as any other engine. Because I sure went from a hater to very impressed.
