Info please: Williams tank lines

    I worked for a Major as you can see by the picture and I just talked with my friend and he told me that our company is at $23.50 an hour for the terminals where you're at. So you can figure Williams is a couple of dollars less per hour. Still not bad. Vinevale is at $27 an hour but they are union.

    I never heard of vinevale. Of course that doesn't mean anything.

    Vinevale is the ARCO terminal in Los Angeles. It comes from an old railroad town name. It's actually located in South Gate. If you pull any products in southern CA for ARCO you would have pulled from there.

    Thanks G.H. That explains the almost 30/Hr., you don't see those rates in the valley. Have to go to L.A. or S.F. bay for that.

    I just got word that Chevron is going to close down some of their Downstream ( that's product from the refinery to the gas stations) operations and they say there will be alot of jobs lost. The message mostly spoke of the refineries but they'll close smaller terminals down to save a buck. It's sad to hear because they are one of the last companies to be at the top for pay and benefits.
