I have been laid off for 7months. I recently applied and received a position as a driver. I had to go for a physical and drug screen. I tested positive. Needless to say I did not receive the position. My concern is ,now what? Do I tell all the future companies of this? Can they find out? Do they already know? Is this on my record like a speedng ticket!? Any inforation or advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Information please!

Learn the phrase, "would you like fries with that?"
outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
Your profile reads trucker 6 years. You melt the cup and don't know the ramifications?
-
You've been a trucker for 6 years and failed a drug test?
-
if they report it to DAC, it will be on your record for 10 years
-
So that basically means I need a new profession.
-
Yep. You guessed that right, unless you happen to be on prescription medications that would result in a fail on the 'p' test, and you have a prescription for them.
-
Never had to worry about it. Like I said I got laid off and smoked some bud from time to time. Stupid but done, thought I should have been good, not! And yes I don't know the penalties. Do you?
-
Yes. Melt the cup and look for another line of work.
-
Is there a chance they will not report it. It was a pre employment testing, it's not like I was working for them for awhile
