If the auto parts pressure kit doesn’t have an adapter fit your big radiator. You can take out a plug and plumb an elbow into the lower radiator steel tube, using reducers. Then use any air pump. Bicycle pump, or small 12v air pump. I have a 1/4” ball valve drain on mine. Adapted a mini 12v compressor. Cut the end of hose off, adapted the hose size up to fit. Works great. Shout out to @BoxCarKidd for the idea.

@Truck engine machinist? That's the only name that I can think of off hand.

I didn't take any pics but I did record it so here is the pic I snapshot from the video. Tube in the head on the bottom is black most likely soot from compression leak

Good lord. Is it just me or is there a copper ring cut in there?

BTW I am planning to attempt to get the cup from the top by making my own puller I will let you know if I am successful. Plan is making threads in to a cup then inserting a long bolt that sticks outside of the head. Then use a sliding hammer or a plate on top and a screw to pull the cup. Either way I got nothing to loose since head is meant to come out so mind as well try something. My father owns a lathe machine so we will see what we can come up with

From that last pic. You can see no compression has gotten by the tip. There would be black marks there, and the injector would be dirty above and below the lowest o ring. In the cup at the bottom, it"s shiny all the way around. No leakage there

Oxbow, Rideandrepair and BoxCarKidd Thank this.
