Just wondering how long it seems to take everybody else to get a certificate of insurance from their company?
I have farm buero good rates been happy till today frustrated as hell. Been working on a certificate...2 to be exact for about oh...a week now. Everybody was sick Friday fine no big deal. Received a certificate the first one last Thursday wasn't right additional insured wasn't checked. Received 2 yesterday both supposedly corrected nope still not right loss payee was missing on one certificate. Called 9:48 am to correct problem. Was told no problem Shouldn't take long.
Called back at 11:30 asked if it could be done by lunch response it's at the under writers I'll try and get it pushed through...2.25 hours later it's 1:50 as I'm typing this still no certificate and all they had to do was add 4 words. Total bill for lost time today $1000 before operating cost. Starting to wonder how they'd feel if I closed out the bank account my premiums are drawn from and said sorry you cost me a grand last week you can cover the cost of my truck and personal auto insurance this month or your underwriter can.
Unbelievable anyway has anybody see experienced this problem. I can see half an hour maybe even an hour. But 4??? Seems a little ridiculous
What yall think?

That's crap. Call them up and tell them exactly what you said here. You are losing business because of their lack of service ... maybe follow up with "if you have too many customers, I can go elsewhere ..."
My agent gets them back to me usually within 15 minutes. -
Usually within an hour (assuming they're open). Worst was 6 hours...
I have heard there is a company that has a web portal that lets you make your own certificates -- anyone know who that is? -
That'd be nice to have. My cert finally rolled in after transwood called my ins. Company and asked. Told the office lady thank you and I otta just not pay my premium this month. It cost me more by a 9 hour hold up than my insurance is each month. Don't know but I would like to hear of this company that will let you make your own certificates. It'd be worth half an hour of my time to call them.nofilter Thanks this.

My agent fills it out while I'm on the phone with them. Then faxs it over right away.
379exhd Thanks this. -
I send an email request first, before starting on other carrier setup paperwork. 99% of the time, the customer has received the insurance certificate before my email with everything else. Once in a blue moon I might catch them on lunch or something, or the admin took vacation and I didn't know. I call and someone drops what they're doing and gets it done.
You might try contacting Farm Bureau directly and ask them to assign you to a more responsive agency. The one you're with now will likely pitch a fit with them due to lost commission, but at the end of the day they aren't servicing your account as needed. Too bad. -
Farm Bureau does truck insurance?
-
Flo does it. I would log in and email it as fast as I could type. Was good till she raised me $3000 one day
-
Hopefully I can post this without getting in trouble.
Salterinsurancedot ,you know the rest. I don't have insurance with them, but I see they let you create certificates directly from their websitedouble yellow Thanks this. -
