so I shopped around for insurance when I applied for my authority a couple of months ago and all the quotes I received were between 11-14k. The best deal for me was national indemnity through a local agent. 1mil auto 1 mil general 100k cargo tractor insured for 30k and trailer for 15k. Price wAs around 13500. I just received a letter stating my policy went up to almost 16500 due to my driver having a speeding ticket a year ago. These prices seem rediculous to me and I need to do something ASAP about it. I have already paid 2750 down and 2 payments at 1200 a piece, do you guys have any recommendations for a good insurance company/agent? When I was starting out I got a quote from OOIDA for like 7k a year which sounded great untill they gave me a list of brokers that didn't accept it major player being landstar so I didn't go for it. Now that I have learned they are useless to me anyways what do you guys think about OOIDA insure? I was at the NASTC class last week and asked for a insurance quote through them does anyone know what I should expect?

Thanks guys, any help will be much appreciated

I go through Ballard and co. They are out of meridian id. I paid less than 7k for the year 1 mil/250k policy. I am really happy with them. Have not had a broker that didn't accept my insurance.
