Yea I think so. I just recieved the conditional offer of employment letter via email too. Saying the terminal manager will be in contact to schedule a drug test.

Now that your background and pee will come back clean, tell them you want 18.50...if not, start walking out. If he's really interested in you, he'll pay it. I wouldn't do LTL for $15/hour. The offer letter is their first offer, and just that. It's open to negotiation.

Probably gonna be 90 days and then it will go up a few dollars. That's how it is at my yard. Well I work for Reddaway, which belongs to YRC and we are non union in my yard. Wait a minute! I thought as a casual you start out at top scale with YRC (union side)? That's how they did it with me in 2006. After about a month I was hired on full time and I went down to the starting pay scale.

Yea thats what my dad told me a while back. The TM was never sure from the beginning though, he said he really doesnt get into the pay but he "thinks" it was 15 an hr but he'll check into it.
