    what's good with everyone?

my name is Robert "Left Eye" Gaugh, i was born and raised in oakland, california my whole life...after high school i joined the air force and stuck it out with them for about 11 years working in the transportation squadron...worked all different types of jobs within transportation; from driver (tractor trailer combinations, wreckers, forklifts, gun trucks, buses), dispatcher, chief dispatcher, training, certifying, licensing, you name it i did it pretty much...although i got 11 years under my belt as a military trucker with experience driving over roads in japan, south korea, united states, england, germany, iraq, afghanistan, kuwait, and qatar...i still consider myself a newbie to this trade because i never experienced the commercial side of it...military had waivers for everything! didn't need cdls, didn't need log books, didn't need to weigh in ever, didn't need anything really lol...

im currently in the process of joining swift, my whole tuition got waived because im a veteran, so i only have to do a 1 year contract with them with out no money being taken out..after that year, i already got set up through schneider through their veterans program where i can drive a oil tanker truck in the fields...i have a slot set up through them, they pretty much told me to contact them one month out from the end of contract..crossing fingers that still holds true by then, if not i can always reapply for the program again..

anyways, i look forward to creating new friendships and picking people's brains for more knowledge about trucking!
