I had the same problem. I had to change it from cobra to a different inverter because some equipment like my coffee machine It would make my inverter Go off and show the sign of OPP Needless to say I called cobra they said they had a problem with some certain types of coffee machines microwave etc.So I exchanged it with a different inverter orange color it’s called power something . It makes less beeping sound compared to cobra none and it works fine

Most important is the power cable. It must be 2 gauge or zero gauge quality cables. I have much better luck with welding cables. Also, you need to use an inline 200 amp fuse. I have an old Cobra 2500 inverter, about 10 years now and it works well on toaster, single coil range, microwave, rice cooker, and many other items. The cobra 2500watt is the lowest you want to go because inverters aren't really accurate. They tend to rate much higher than they can put out. My rule of thumb is to use 25% to 35% of the rated inverter capacity.

My first inverter was a cobra 1500 and it wouldnt operate my microwave longer than 5 minutes without overheating and shutting down. A pure sinewave inverter may be better but it will still have to be more than 1500 rated watts.

I once did a test on my microwave if it was the problem or my power was the problem when it took twice as long to boil water in the truck with my 2500 watt inverter. So i took the microwave home and boil a cup of water in 2 minutes in the house AC outlet. In the truck, with the 2 gauge power cable, it took 4 minutes to boil water, and longer in the winter. With my previous 4 gauge power cables, it took 6 minutes or more.

In conclusion, the power from the truck is dirty and not very efficient so not all watts are generated equally. Using a desktop computer, you will need atleast a bigger inverter but I would bet that a pure sinewave inverter like the Zantec would be required. Dirty power will damage your desktop computer's components.
