Glad to hear, I agree with others definitely treated better when your a tanker yanker. Also dot is better on you as well. If the economy goes south. I told my wife il go back otr. Maybe I go back to irt. Called yesterday I'm eligible for rehire.
bentstrider83 and Redtwin Thank this. -
When I was there, I don’t think I ever took home less then 1k if I was working and didn’t take time off. I don’t think I ever sat around for a tank wash. The only places that seemed to make us wait a ton were dairy places. I just had an issue come up with them that made me leave. Otherwise i was pretty happy. Definitely miss the tanker work but I lucked into a nice local job.

Dairy is the Devil. I've been lucky to avoid dairy loads a fair bit, but the last two made me swear off drinking milk in protest.
Anyone else wondering what our new driver managers are supposed to do?.CorsairFanboy and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
Got to do what you got to do. I personally still miss tootling around in the daycabs until they got rid of them in 2018ish. As far as tank washes go, that seems to be a fact of life up in Platteville. Sometimes there's clean tanks ready to rock and roll. Other times it's a wait while other outfits are also waiting on an empty tank. That said, I'm pretty much sticking around here until a local position in Albuquerque or Phoenix opens up. Keyword, long time

I am a couple months away from 1 year here. I *should* be able to crack $75K by the time I reach my 1 year anniversary.
I might as well stick around if I can hit that considering how little you have to work here. I mounted a trailer mudflap today and it was the hardest physical labor I have done in a very long time.QuietStorm and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
For sure. The more work you put in over here, the more you'll stack up those numbers. Was about to take another Garden City-to-Portales, but my cat and myself needed to get off the truck for a bit after five days cooped up in there.Redtwin Thanks this.
