Is this true?

It's nice to have a truck that sounds like a truck but is quiet enough to have a conversation, or listen to the radio. An obnoxiously loud truck is... obnoxious, and uncomfortable.

Unless it is a Detroit 2 stroke. That's a whole different story, lol.

 

Tinnitus is but one health problem from loud pipes for truckers. Those stacks are the perfect size and shape for generating infrasound. I would recommend anyone considering getting into a truck with really loud stacks do a little research before you do it. Google "infrasound health effects" and start reading.

Infrasound has been researched by the military as a weapon. Enough said.
