Hello, so just got my licence 6 months ago but what really caught my attention was hazmat,i've been trainning for 2 months with fuel and i feel like i'm almost there, have gone up hill a couple of times and twice i loose complete speed and have to start all over again wich is nerve wrecking, with my trainner getting frustrated makes it hard sometimes to concentrate, also we have to park the truck reverse its a tank tractor and trailer,n i know that when is semi if you go left tank goes right, go right goes left, i cannot find the way on this tractor/trailer can't figure out how to control the back trailer, for some reason i feel like my trainner is not helping in that area.. have tried it like 10 times n cannot figure it out i can load and unload, drive all the time loaded and unloaded but this errors i just cant fix them and its the only thing holding me back to driving and start working on my own...thank u for your time.. sorry for the grammar :/..

Are we talking about a tractor and 2 trailers or a long straight tanker truck with a short tanker trailer behind it?

As far as the other issue, are you saying you're having troubles shifting up and/or down?

Tractor and trailer,my biggest issue is reversing, i cant seemed to understand the effect of the back trailer not the truck.

No i call it doubles because is two.. but no the first tank is mounted to the chassis so its not considered doubles.

First of all, we need clarification on the type of rig. You say there is a tank on the truck, and you're pulling a trailer. What kind of trailer? Is it a 5th wheel? Or does it connect with a pintle hitch at the rear of the truck? If it connects with a pintle hitch, are the trailer axles fixed or does the front axle steer?

I ask because if there is 1 pivot point between the truck and trailer, you'd back it one way...and if there are 2 pivot points (front trailer axle "steers"), you'd tackle it a little differently.

Truck and pup trl. West coast setup.. You have to remember you have 2 piviot points. 1 at the end of the trk. where the draw bar hooks to the trk. then on the pup turn table.. Try thinking like your just backing up the trk. by itself.. easy turns, not fast turns on the wheel when backing up

Theres no fifth wheel. On the trucks chassis tank is mounted, the trailer is pulled cant seemed to understand how to control the back tank when backing up.. its not the same as a semi.
