We all got our start somewhere, my first tanker gig was hauling oil both refined and raw. We also did chemical loads, first I was regional, worked my tail off and a local day cab opened up. Sure it didn't pay that great but it was a start and I learned alot in a short bit of time. Also kept in touch with drivers and we all have helped each other out with great gigs. Best of luck to you and you are gonna love cryo, best tanker gig with fuel hauling close behind.

To make 100k you will have to work 60 hours per week every week with what KAG and most others pay down here. And often times that just doesn't happen so you will have to cut into your weekend and work extra days.

We have our own stations throughout the Northwest. We HAD a fleet of transport trucks. The company sold the whole fleet because the rates with KAG were so low. Companies care more about profit, margins, and overhead more than drivers nowadays I guess? I just hope KAG doesn’t come snooping around my tankwagon gig... scary that they have a retired transport truck with some hose reels on it in their yard.

I work for them. I'm about as happy as I get. Average over $1600 a week for 60 hours. About $70k last year, should be pushing $80k this year. They are bumping up pay, buying new trucks/trailers, and claim to be working towards having the newest fleet on the road within 5 years. It sucks sharing a truck if the other driver is a richardhead, which my "partner" is, but not much I can do about it. If you can run 70 hours every week, you will be close to $90k.
