    Proper tire maintenance you should check the pressure every month:biggrin_2555: You sure would not be working for me, that might be ok on grandmas go to church only 1987 CHEV IMPALA , but on a highway unit thats a lot of miles , wear / tear between pressure checks.

    Mine are checked every Monday morning ( my drivers get paid to do it ) and twice again during the week. Very little tire troubles.

    tire maintenance is very easy to do--but if it isnt done--it can get costely pretty quick
    make sure your guage is accurate--you wouldnt believe how much difference in readings there are if you try everybodys in the shop---
    check the side walls for bulges and when you stop--sometimes a good idea to just run your hand over the tire looking for fod and excessive heat
    and for gods sake stay off of the shoulder--its like a hardware store with all the junk on it
