    This will not improve performance at all. The only reason the suction line is insulated is because it does sweat and can cause damage to interior of home or in this case vehicle. that is why it is not insulated under the hood. Make sure and keep bugs and dirt out of condenser coil in front of radiator. That is best way to ruin a compressor. It can not remove heat absorbed by evaporator coil and will lead to early failure and bad performance. All the other tips are good. Make sure system is sealed and if not take a few minutes to find leak. If it needs charging more than once a year it is not too hard to locate. Keep cab filter clean if so equipped.

    Sorry, I merely posted the article for newbie drivers or as a refresher for the older hands. I'm sure someone will come along and be able to answer your question. I know of the components and the location of them. As far as the technical side of a/c. It's cheaper for me to pay someone to do it, then screw it up worse.

    Google also does wonders. I have solved several computer problems that way. Somebody at some point has had the same issue and has put it on the WWW.
