I am looking at another older w900 and several of the rivets that hold the cab panels together are rusting ( mostly on the back wall of the cab) What is the best solution to this problem?

Rusting ? .or do you mean corroding ?

Pretty much. Your likely looking at between 5 and 10k to get it done right maybe more if the damage is extensive enough. And thats with just surface rust. Gotta sand prime paint and cleae coat. If the rivits are corroded you gotta replace them which is a whole ordeal in and of its self. Hell after my wreck i popped just 8 rivits on my cab on the impact side where they bounced off. on the repair quote just that was listed at over 10k. Was actully cheaper to reseat my front axle and replace the entire steering linkage then the body work.W923 Thanks this.

Yep you’re right, they’re huck bolts but I figured everyone would get the idea with less confusion. And these particular ones are steel and rusting as in red color like a frame so I didn’t think corroding was the right term. Sounds like the bottom line is look elsewhere…Last Call Thanks this.
