Calculate like this, ldd mi, .92 + .43(fsc) X 833 mi x 3. Then from this figure deduct all the expenses. Also, for a Cascadia, base your mpg at about 7.3. You will come up with a better figure and lots closer to what you will end up with. There are some weeks that you might get some very light loads, and it be long, and get almost 9mpg. Use that as a figure and see what happens to your pay. Lets say 2400 divided by 9mpg, then use the cost per gal and minus that along with the rest of your deductions. You will see a large difference.

I lease a 2012 Cascadia. My fixed expenses are $707.53 per week (I pay extra for deductable buy down and glass coverage). My 13 week fuel summary shows 7.56 MPG average trip (loaded). My prefered speed is 65 unless I'm in CA then I run 60. My break even point is about 1000 miles a week. For a good week (2600+ miles) my settlement varies between $1250-1600. My all time biggest week was 4200 miles and over $2200.

That isn't too bad to operate every week for 730ish. With all my bills and being a o.o (not for swift) I'm at 720. It will be much better after the truck is paid for. Can't wait till mines paid.

squeak .. you need a better tax man. I've yet to finalize my taxes, but I'm at .0128/mi on taxes.

Alright for the OP ... your numbers are in the ballpark. For a new lease you need to add $50 a week for 30 weeks for your performance bond. And another $50 a week for your down payment unitl it is paid off.

Your $.10 a mile for maintenance is good. You have a bumper to bumper warranty for 200K, then all major component, electrical body and frame to 450K and then engine/drive train out to 750K.

On the revenue side figure about 8% for MT miles, some weeks will be more some less, of the total miles for a week.

FSC is roughly .01 for every .06 change in the EIA weekly fuel average. The base point is .01 for $2 fuel cost. I treat FSC strictly as revenue, I don't worry about the gymanastics of trying to back it in to my fuel cost. I manage my fuel by trying to beat the EIA average by .20 every week. So if the EIA average fuel cost is at $3.89 currently, I try to keep my actual cost below $3.69 - I'm currently at $3.62 on the week.

Swift pays all tolls, lumpers, base plates and permits.

Your maintenance account is not mandatory. You can put any amount from .03 to .20 in your account and you can withdraw any amount of funds at anytime for any reason.

You blow a steer ... $375 for the tire, $400 for the road call, $30 for the RO. A set of drives will run you $3K, including 3 axle alignment. You get the Swift discount at the TA for the ulimate PM, $230 - pay cash, Swift will charge you $30 for the RO to pull it out of your account. Oil $7 gallon at the terminals. Wipers, $2.50 each. 5th wheel grease free. Washer fluid free. Fuses, free.

Sorrynfor the late reply, just dropped a load in Compton. Anywho, whew... Ill begin with saying
Thank you all for the replys, and all the great information.

i have been researching leasing for over a year now, and just now feel almost ready to begin. With the budget I ran was a very rough draft, mainly to get a rough idea of what I could expect. I have also learned that to underestimate income vs expenditures is a useful tool. Keeps my head below the clouds and above the bull #####.

With all the information given i have a better idea of what numbers to plug into the equations, ill do that when I wake up, LA was an ### tonight.

Thank you all so very much!

Oh! As for as the bond (will pay the 2500 upfront), when I think of the word "bond" that makes me think at some point that will be returned or at least some of it, is that correct?

Mystic, looks like my accountant telling me .15 and your .12 are really not that far off. She does say that it is a little high, but better to have extra just in case then not enough. She did tell me, get ready to bend over next year. Self employment tax going up, and not sure how much.

squeak ... that's point zero - one - two ... as in a penny and 2/10. I ran 125,400 miles last year at .15 per mile I would be holding back about $19,000 ... I'm only going to be paying about $1,600 - $1,200 in self employment and $400 in fed, $0 in state.
