What are you o/o's using for shocks. Bought 8 fleet line brand for truck very disappointed in them didn't even last a year and leaking. We mostly do local(95%) work here with an occasional(%5)regional work.
What have you used and what did they cost? Changing shocks sucks!!!!!

    Thanks

Why does it suck. On my truck its litterally 2 bolts and its out . Put new one in. Maybe 10 mins total for all 4 on drives. I replaced all 4 drives earlier this year with monroes. Gonna do the steers as well with monroes.

What truck u got ? A good impact should bust them loose no problem. It is a 15/16 socket and a wrench on other bolt, in my truck . Litterally 2 bolts. Dont see the big deal unless ur truck is different. Took me 10 minutes to do all 4

OEM for Freightliner is Sachs brand which is what I am using now on recent new tires. They're about $50 to $65 each, but not from Freightliner they aren't!! I've tried Monroe and Gabriel's, not impressed. We'll see how long these Sachs last.

Get yourself one of those new Milwaukee 18v cordless high torque impacts for about $500. It will make quick work of changing shocks or anything else. The 1/2" drive one is a beast with over 1,000 ft lbs of torque and I know a lot of guys carry one in their sidebox. I opted for a 3/4" one because it wasn't much more.

If the impact won't move 'em, I go straight for the gas axe. Cut the bolts and use new ones. Anti-seize on the bolts too.

I just use a harbor freight breaker bar. And a 1/2 inch drive. It's easy and cheap. Once every 100k miles. $55 a shock. Why is this hard?

Use anti seize amazes me how many people do not use it on anything. I can change all 4 drives and steers and cab in less than an hour. Western star. I run Gabriel the blue ones come with a 200k warranty
