Question replacing my leveling vale, upon looking it’s a different valve style International said this is “replacement to the old style”. The old valve is longer on link that connects to the rod, but correct me if I’m wrong as long at the rod is cut to spec doesn’t really matter on the valve if it’s short?

Correct, as long as the shorter bar on the valve doesn't cause the rod to interfere with anything, like that hose that appears to be dangerously close to your inter-axle driveline.

The angle between the vertical linkage and level arm from the valve should be 90 degrees with the truck level. If the new valve level arm is much shorter that is going to throw things off and you will have to adjust the ride height. What is the difference in length between the old valve rod and the new one?
I'm also wondering if the parts person gave you the wrong valve. Above is a Hendrickson trailer valve.

Thanks for information, yes this is what International gave me attached is the part number it’s was for a 2003 International 9400I VIN 2HSCNASR73C078182
Do you what the measurements for the metal rod should be then since they replaced the old valve with a new style?Attached Files:

The rod needs to be whatever length brings ride height back to spec. There's usually some adjustability in the valve mounting too.
Often, you'll also have to replace the rod also.Oxbow Thanks this. -
Ok noted so what’s the measurement where do I start the measurement.Oxbow Thanks this.

I'm not sure where they measure ride height or the spec for International. Call one of the dealerships, and see if you can get the shop foreman or tech on the phone. Might be easier today since it's Sunday.
You can go off of driveline angle too, but it's a bit more technical and you'd need another tool.
Basically, figure out where to measure and what the spec is, raise your suspension till you get that measurement, and install the rod.
If the rod you have is too long or too short, then you can replace it with a cut to fit rod. There are several different styles available.Oxbow Thanks this. -
Generally the top of 5th plate is 48” from ground .
