If it's anything like ours it is a emergency call to the dispatcher or whoever is monitoring the system. So everytime you pressed the button it sent an alert to the system and they are probably trying to figure out why they keep getting this emergency alert on thier system...LOL When they finally figure it out you will probably get a call from your dispatch asking if your ok

It is a panic button. All Prime truck's are spec-ed with them. Not really anything you can do about the large (old style) ones but the newer smaller size one's you can reem the threads out of a soda bottle cap and it will fit right over it if it's hooked up. I did that so I didn't bump it by accident. With Prime, if you pushed it, it would send an emergency message to security, safety, dispatch, and everyone up on the higher end of the company and would pop up on their screen's. If you didn't respond immediatly they will use your GPS tracking location to send the police dept, fire, and EMS. You do get charged for bumping it on accident but I don't remember how much they said it was.
