Thanks for this thread Injun and I'm sorry about your friend's truck & trailer.
Injun Thanks this. -
Big Don, lilillill, outerspacehillbilly and 3 others Thank this. -
Wow times have changed. In 1993 I hauled a load of scrap copper and other metals out of Mexico that included the old coin money. Not even sealed. The most interesting thing was watching the truck at the consignee that literally lifted my trailer in the air, off the ground, and dumped the metal out.
Plus the several hundred pesos I found in the trailer when I swept it. -

Well I have a question about this whole thread. If that's what ya'll haul out of this place you mentioned and it's such a problem ( which I know and we all know it is ) then do you think it was a real bright idea to go plastering the fact that a swift truck leaving Amarillo is a 50/50 chance they are hauling copper on the internet for anyone to confirm? I mean that's not real bright in my opinion but hey you guys are the ones hauling it not me so post away I guess. Just an observation.
REDD Thanks this. -
There is not a 50/50 chance that every Swift leaving Amarillo has copper on board. Far more Swifties pass through than load there. I-40 is a major shipping lane. Therefore, which one loaded there is a random guess and unless they were followed from the plant, nobody wil know which is which.
As for the ones who are followed from the plant. We have no control over that. -
You not think the THIEVES know whats on what truck long before they leave.
More INSIDER info being passed around today between people at the shippers / purchasers and their OUTSIDE associates.
Bad enough there are still TOO MANNY braggers sitting at the counter in truckstops or on the CB that spout off about their load of THIS or THAT and the BIG $ they are hauling.
