Hello I was wanting to know if anyone has done the Local regional intermodal work here? I was hired on as local but they told me I’d be regional and I can expect to be home 1-5 times a night. Definitely not what I agreed with my recruiter but I’ll be happy if I’m home 2-3 times during the week. Any information would be appreciated. FYI I will be working out of the Chicago OC

Typical Schneider, switch and bait. I suggest you apply to JB Hunt Intermodal as you’d probably get better pay.

It may be true but they have been treated me fairly so far.

More likey is the op talked with the recruiter about local, but when the op sent in their app, they selected the regional job. Or the op applied 2 or 3 times and the recruiter selected the one that benifited the company.Tolmie Thanks this.

What's the pay like? How often are you home? What does your average work day look like.

Start at 9AM and finish by 8-9PM. It’s Monday to Friday. Off on Saturday and Sunday. But you can pick your days off, like Mon-Tues if you like. So basically 5 days on and 2 days off. Basically working 11 hours a day. About $1000 a week. It’s a local job so don’t expect much pay.DAX_ Thanks this.
