Does anyone have experience with filing for naturalization (US citizenship), while having a logbook violation on a record?
It’s hard to find any information on that.
Idk if it’s falls for that category of traffic violations, that don’t need to be mentioned on the application if the fine was below $500 (it was $130), or it needs to be mentioned anyway like a dui would.
Thanks in advance.
Logbook violation vs naturalization application.

You can't be serious?
I guess they probably don't care.
But if you don't put it on there, and they decide to care they're going to find it anyway and it won't be good.
Doesn't it say not to put traffic tickets which is more less what that is?
Either way I guess it won't hurt to put it on the application.
Plus....
With the current Administration I would go ahead and put it on there
I had an overweight ticket I didn't put on there they never said anything.
And it was like $800 or $900..
It also may be worth mentioning that it was before the current Administration... :/Last edited: Sep 9, 2018

Log violation is not a moving citation. Should not show up in MVR. May not show up in a background check. Take the didn’t ask, don’t tell. Position. If you get questioned about it, take the point of it not being a moving violation, not a criminal conviction.

Altough, logbook violation in question is a criminal traffic violation. It is marked on the ticket as a simple misdemeanor.Last edited: Sep 26, 2018
