I am buying Kenworth T880s for the first time. I placed an order around February 1 for two roll-off chasis. I asked this week for a build date, and the dealer told me late April. When I placed the order, I assumed no more than 8 weeks. Something smells like BS to me. The dealer blamed it on the switch to the new emissions system.

Is there any truth in this, or is there something fishy going on?

I'm pretty pissed. Am I right to be pissed?

If you would have asked before you placed the order, you would now know if it is bs or not.
No reason to be pissed, it won't change anything except make yourself feel back.
    Good luck with your purchase.

Can't speak for KW, but Peterbilt lead times went from 6 weeks in January, to 14 weeks as of today.

I'm just speaking to a dealer right now about a T880 and they said if I order today it will be end of May for delivery.
