    I was always told it's better to not have one then one that's not legal. They put me OOS at the Mississippi POE told them I was loaded with cattle and they'd have to provide a safe haven for the cattle before I could sit for 10 hours. Officer looked at me and said carry on to where you need to be.

    In Canada we can run on a 120/14 day cycle which requires a 72 hr reset on the 70/7 day cycle we need 36 hrs to reset... So depending on the violation they can go 10 hrs 36 hrs or 72 if severe enough aka falsified logs had op just showed a violation he may of got 10 or 36 instead ... If you falsify they give the 72 hr to satisfy all cycles

    Btw most Canadians and Americans who cross at sweetgrass know that scale is very picky and often stand on the plate asking for logs as you cross plate ... I only cross there 3 or 4 times a year and they were open every time .. 50/50 chance of them asking for logs if traffic is light
