I know it's not required to have but it sure would make it easier to measure my tall loads. Anyone know where to get one decently priced? I stopped in at iowa 80 and #### near chocked at the price of $199. Looking around online most are from $100-$350... even find one where they wanted $435 for one that had $75 3ft attachment option.
I'm considering one from amazon at $99 measures up to 15ft

1507925247949.png *edit* I havent drawn anything since high school. Dont judge)

The ones I've seen were homemade out of pvc pipe. One large piece with a hole drilled and threaded for a lockout knob or whatever they were called and a smaller piece that fit inside the larger one, secured by the lockout knob. At the end of the smaller piece was a removable 'T' fitting with another 3 or 4 foot pvc piece used to rest on top of the piece being measured.

I used an extension pole for painting. Instead of a paint roller. Bend the end that the roller fits on.
2nd option I bought a golf ball retriever, bent the metal loop to the side.
These work if you know what is "up there" such as you only need to measure the sides.
Not so good If you need to measure or detect a fitting higher in the middle.
    Good luck.

They should have what you need.
I use both to put the thousand required lights on the truck - or you're plain.
Wouldn't want to be plain, now, would we?

You should have paid the $200 and been done with it, and it is a tax right off. Much cheaper than a fine. But, that is just me.

I bought the 20' one from this website. It was expensive. No where near as expensive as hitting a bridge. That would cost me many thousands of dollars a year in lost wages if I lost my current gig.

It the long run it's very cheap.
