Hello all, I've royally ###### up a wonderful opportunity given to me from my company. I was let go for safety violations. There's more bad though. Including this termination, I have walked away from two other company's within my span of work history. I was two months away from having a year of experience. I'm wondering what second chance companies will hire me in the Central Ohio area. I have no accidents, no DUI's, and no criminal history. Can anyone suggest any carriers that will hire?

I don't believe you're going to have much trouble getting a job. I can only say that in the generic form, however, because I don't know (and don't want to know either) what safety violations you had. I also don't know what time frame you quit those jobs and a basic idea of why. Whatever the reasons for that termination and those walk-offs. I HIGHLY recommend you change your attitude as it relates to this job. I have a lot of respect for @Chinatown however every time a driver quits a job or is fired for cause the list of carriers that will hire you gets smaller. With this new FMCSA drug testing clearinghouse and the almost dictatorial way the FMCSA is going after the carriers with parts 391, 395 and 383 enforcement even some of the 2nd chance carriers are shying more and more away from hiring a problem driver. Right NOW today I know of 5 people that are unhirable for basically this same crap.
Several drivers recently turned down by Carolina Cargo and TransAm even though, by their websites, they're qualified. Trucking companies can be picky now.
I appreciate this. Being terminated was certainly a wake-up call for me. I think I was too arrogant in my ways of going about things, but I love my career. I have no choice, but to do better and try harder from here on, no doubt.
